Raia Sports Club blanked St Anthony Sports Club, Colva 3-0 and moved to the quarter-finals of 6th Martin Cup, organised by Betalbatim Sports Club, at Betalbatim panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
Raia opened their account in the 18th minute through Dilon Gomes of a well-measured through pass by Elton Colaco which gave no chance to the Colva goalkeeper. The half time score was 1-0 in favour of Raia.
Changing over, in the second half, Raia took the control of the game as coach Cosme Oliveira changed the game plan and the St Anthony Club boys couldn't come back as Raia scored two more goals in 35th and 44th minutes by Elton Colaco and Garrison Fernandes and sealed the match in favour of Raia.
Garrison Fernandes of Raia was awarded the man of the match by Gustavo Alfonso one of the football promoter of Betalbatim and assistant treasurer of Betalbatim SC.
