SFA also hosted an AIFF Refresher Course, with 23 participants undergoing theory and practical training under the guidance of technical director Gavin Araujo.
AIFF Head of Coach Education Vivek Nagul, who visited during the course, praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of structured programmes in developing technically sound coaches and raising coaching standards in the country. The course was conducted by experienced instructors Gavin Araujo and Antonio Prestly Pereira, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for participants.
Araujo said the AFC ‘C’ Licence Course plays a vital role in building strong technical foundations and shaping the next generation of coaches. He added that SFA remains focused on creating a structured learning environment that contributes to grassroots football growth.
Pereira echoed similar views, stressing that coach education is a continuous process and such programmes are essential for equipping coaches with the right methodology and perspective.
