Goa suffered an eight-wicket defeat against a formidable Bengal side in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy Elite tournament at the C.K. Pithawala Ground in Surat on Saturday.

She shared an unbroken 122-run partnership with Tanushree Sarkar, who remained unbeaten on 68, to guide Bengal to victory in 19.2 overs.

Earlier, Goa were struggling at 26 for three before Shreya Parab and Shikha Pandey revived the innings with a crucial 103-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Shreya scored 69 off 60 balls, while Shikha contributed 47 off 37 deliveries, including five fours and a six. Poorva Bhaidkar provided a late boost with an unbeaten 10 off just four balls.

Despite posting a challenging total, Goa's bowlers could not contain the Bengal batters. The defeat marked Goa's second consecutive loss after beginning their campaign with two victories.
