Sports Authority of Goa conducted ‘Bocce’ tournament for the Special school children at the first state level sports competitions for Special School Children recently at the Athletics Stadium, Bambolim.
Boys and girls’ 34 teams from 17 Special schools participated. SAG Executive Director, V M Prabhudesai declared the tournament open while Chief Guest Sidharth Kuncalienkar, EDC Chairman, graced the finals and presented the prizes.
The results: Group A Winners boys: SFAL People’s Panaji, Runners-up: Gujarati Samaj Margao,
3rd place: St. Xavier’s Old Goa. Winners girls: Lok Vishwas Mollem, Runners-up: SFAL People’s Panaji, 3rd place: Keshav Seva Sadhana Valpoi. Group B Winners boys: Keshav Seva Sadhana Bicholim, Runners-up: Disha Panaji, 3rd place: Lok Vishwas Ponda. Winners girls: Sanjay Special School Curchorem, Runners-up: Lok Vishwas Marcel, 3rd place: Sanjay School Vasco.
Group C Winners boys: Lok Vishwas Honda, Runners-up: Lok Vishwas Ponda, 3rd place: Lok Vishwas Mollem. Winners girls: Chetna Edu. Soc. Curchorem, Runners-up: New Dawn Ashadeep Vasco, 3rd place: Lok Vishwas Canacona. Group D Winners boys: Sanjay Center Curchorem, Runners-up: Keshav Seva Sadhna Valpoi, 3rd place:Peace Haven Caranzalem, Winners girls: Disha Special School Panaji, Runners-up: Sanjay School Porvorim, 3rd place: Gujarati Samaj Margao.
