The sports summer camp of St Thomas Girls High School was held at its playground in Aldona. Almost a month-long camp, which started on April 2, was attended by 70 students and concluded on Monday.
The students were trained in football, hockey, volleyball, throw ball, basketball, with the addition of futsal this year. “We had amazing coaches to train us and under their guidance the students enjoyed the camp very much. Each day we learned different skills and techniques of the game,” a student said.
According to the school, the main objective of the camp was to give young children an opportunity to learn games and improve their fitness. The camp began with warm-up exercises and the students then played games among the teams. The final day of the camp ended with games in which the students were divided into four teams for team competitions. All the participants were awarded prizes.
