Murrod Boys trounced Vaddy Boys by a 4-1 margin in the Friends Circle 3rd inter ward tournament, organised by Friends Circle of Candolim, at Dr Gustavo Monteiro ground, Candolim on Tuesday.
Murrod Boys struck two goals in each session of play, while Vaddy managed to only score a consolation goal. In the 16th minute, Harish Bagkar -- collecting a through pass from Sigmund Silveira -- tapped the ball into the goal, 1-0. Just two minutes later, Murrod netted in their second goal when Afton D’Costa connected a corner from Nehal Naik, 2-0.
On crossing over, Sigmund Silveira guided the ball into the goal off a cross from Canute, while minutes later, he netted his brace, 4-0. In the 50th minute, Vaddy’s Sumeet Toraskar tapped the ball into the goal off a corner by Banudas Kandolkar to reduce the margin, 4-1.
