Tealulim went in serach of opening goal straight from the kick off and opened the flood gates in the very 2nd minute when hardworking midfielder Succoro Fernandes fed striker Savio Fernandes who outwitted couple of defenders and beat the rival goalkeeper Prseley Mascarenhas with a clincial finish. Telaulim doubled the lead in the 10th minute when striker Savio Fernandes picked up the ball from Andrew Colaco and the former beat the rival goalkeeper with a snap shot. Post resumption, Telaulim enjoyed the better share of exchanges as Clinton Niassso’s carpet shot hit the post off a well measured cross from Sclachie Cardozo. At the oher end, Paroda had a chance to reduce the margin when striker Elloy Soares moved dangerlously inside the rival penalty area however Telaulim goalkeeper Ozen Silva came to his side’s rescue.
In the 75th minute, striker Clinton attoned his earlier miss when he punished the rival goalkeeper off a Succor Fernandes pass .The final nail into Paroda ‘s coffin came in the 77th minute when midfielder Donald Rocha played a delightful ball into the box and Clinton Niasso hammered it past Presley Mascarenhas to cap off a satisfying day for Telaulim. Meanwhile, the appointment of match commisioner Armando Pires who hails from Navelim where United Club of Telaulim belong to same village was bound to leave a sour taste. At DSYA grounds, Curtorim, Salgaocar FC registered a fluent 3-0 win over Curtorim Gymkhana. Coming on the back of a convincing 2-0 win over Goa Police Salgaocar’s breakthrough came at the stroke of lemon break when Daniele Rebello slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a stiff shot. While Salgaocar pressurised the Curtorim defence, their midfielders cancelled and intercepted Curtorim attacks. Salgaocar were awarded umpteen scoring chances but it went abegging as their forwards failed to make a clean contact with the ball and the half time scoreline read 1-0 in favour of Salgaocar.
In the 50th minute, Klins Mendes cleverly made it 2-0. In the 87th minute, Liston Colaco who was the fulcrum in his team attacks beat the rival goalkeeper with a stiff grounder as the score line read 3-0.
