The FC Goa under 18s were the first in action on Friday when they went down 3-0 to Vasco Sports Club.
In what was an error strewn first half, Vasco Sports Club punished the young Gaurs for their defensive lapses and scored three goals in quick succession to lead 3-0 at half time.
Despite a marked improvement in the second half where the younger players took the game to the opposition, FC Goa were unable to register a goal and ended the same with the same scoreline.
On Saturday morning, FC Goa's Developmental team took on Sporting Club de Goa which comprised of familiar names such as Victorino Fernandes, Peter Carvalho and Cajetan Fernandes.
In what was a tightly contested affair, the two teams were separated by a single goal scored via a free kick from Cajetan Fernandes.
The Gaurs kept good possession of the ball and created a fair few opportunities but were unable to score against the Sporting brigade
Despite the results, the camp continued to maintain a positive outlook as they look to gear themselves for their first ever official outing in the upcoming 1st AWES Inter club football tournament which is slated to start in the first week of September. The junior Gaurs have a good chance to prove their abilities again.
