Both the teams displayed attacking brand of soccer and kept the crowds on their toes. Dicarpale took control and in the very 2nd minute striker Reeve D’Costa unleashed a power-packed shot which deflected off rival defender and went out for an abortive flag-kick in the very 2nd minute. At the other end, Varca did not lag behind and in the 4th minute when U-20 striker Bapan Chhaiyal came close to scoring. Reeve of Dicarpale connected the ball with his left foot to open the account in the 5th minute. Mario Vales’ free kick was fisted away by Varca goalkeeper in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Mario doubled Dicarpale’s lead with a point-blank shot off Jermaiah Viegas’ assist.

in the tenth minute. Colombon Noronha of Varca took control of the ball from Clive Colaco,dribbled Mario Vales and shot but to his dismay the rival keeper was equal to the task in the 15th minute.
Macklin Mascarenhas pulled a goal back for Varca in the 34th minute and three minutes later Columban Noronha made it 2-3 for Varca. Daniel Fernandes made it 3-3 for Varca in the 49th minute. In the resultant tie-breaker, Varca proved to be better shooters.
