Velsao Sports and Cultural Club overcome Guardian Angel Sports Club Curchorem 4-3 in the GFA President’s Relegation League match played at Chowgule artificial turf ground on Tuesday. Throughout the game, the match was evenly poised with both teams giving a good account of each other. Jozwan Cardozo the under-20 striker of Guardian Angel SC was in fine form. One of his power-packed shots was saved by Pranav Kotarkar goalkeeper of Velsao in the first half.
In another match at the GFA Stadium, Duler, Mapusa, Calangute Association blanked Panjim Footballers 3-0. Nickson Casthana netted a brace for Calangute Association in the 40th and 66th minutes, respectively, while substitute Desmond Gama netted a goal in the 51st minute.
