Dona Paula will come alive as the Goa Yachting Association (GYA) hosts the All India Board Sailing Championship 2022 from April 20 to 24 at the Dolphin Adventure Sports Centre.
This national-level ranking windsurfing event is YAI approved and is conducted with the support of SAG. It is also the third leg of the Asian Games Qualifier in the RS:X category and will see the Goa’s Dayne Coelho competing with Ebad Ali and Vedprakash Pathak of AYN to remain ahead in the race.
All three of them put in splendid performances at the recently concluded Asian Sailing Championship in Abu Dhabi and have been training together in Goa for the last couple of weeks with other promising sailors like Ishwariya Ganesh, Katya Coelho, Manaswani Maharana and Pearl Colvalcar amongst many others. The regatta will see about 30 windsurfers from Mumbai, Orissa, Pune, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Pondicherry, Chennai and Goa competing with each other and prove who is best in India.
