The Vishnu Sinai Dempo Memorial All Goa Inter School Invitational Table Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls was held at the TT Hall of the Indoor Stadium, Campal, on Sunday. The event, organised by Yogish Vishnu Dempo in association with the Panaji Morning Stars Sports Club, featured prominent industrialist Anil Counto as the chief guest.
Bhatikar Model High School claimed victory in the boys' category, while Sharada Mandir took home the girls' trophy.
The tournament was specifically designed for students in 10th grade and below, with each team consisting of a minimum of three players and a maximum of four. A total of 16 schools participated, featuring 22 boys' teams and 8 girls' teams, with an overall participation of 112 students.
Teams were grouped based on the number of entries, and all group matches were conducted on a league basis. The top teams from each group advanced to the knockout stage.
