3 Generations beat Black Arrows 1-0 to emerge champions of 7-a-side football tournament, organised by Friends Circle of Curchorem, at Figureido Ground, Pontimol on Sunday.
The teams entertained the festive crowd and Kenneth found the lead with a long ranger that gave no chance to the rival goalkeeper. 3 Generations suffered a jolt when Valenko was ejected by the referee. Black Arrows went all out in search of an equaliser but failed to use the numerical advantage.
Despite being a man down, 3 Generations ventured forward with former India midfielder Alvito D'Cunha unleashing a couple of shots on goal but could not get past the rival goalkeeper.
The second half saw Black Arrows swarm all over the rival territory but the 3 Generations defenders stood tall in protecting their slender lead.
