MARGAO
The AFC B Diploma Module 1, organised by Sporting Clube de Goa in collaboration with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Goa Football Association (GFA), concluded successfully on Saturday.
The intensive course, which commenced on November 1, saw the participation of 30 coaches from across India, including 13 from Goa, with 3 female coaches. The program was led by Coach Educators Shekar Kerkar and Mariano Dias, who delivered practical and theoretical training over the nine-day module.
The closing ceremony was attended by several dignitaries: Natalina Vaz, President of Sporting Clube de Goa, Fr. Avin Carvalho, Principal of Don Bosco School Panjim, Jose Welvin Maximo Menezes, CEO, Savio Madeira, Technical Director, Angelo Albuquerque, Competition Director, Levino Pereira, Head of Youth Development, Anthony Francis Vas, GFA Executive Member & Youth Manager at Sporting Clube de Goa
During her address, Natalina Vaz congratulated the coaches and wished them continued success, encouraging them to return for Module 2, which is scheduled for December and January. Savio Madeira, Technical Director, highlighted the vital role coaches play in the development of footballers and the positive impact they have on society. He also expressed gratitude to GFA, AIFF, and Don Bosco School Panaji for their support in facilitating the program.
