Assonora United FC defeated ABC Sports Club Arambol 3-1 to book a place in the finals of the 22nd Vagator Soccer 2022 organised by Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club, at Vagator Parish Youth SC ground, Ozran.
In the 16th minute, Assonora United took the lead when a through ball by Kunal Salgaonkar found Tushar Dessai who slipped the ball between the legs of the Arambol keeper Hrushikesh Kinalekar. Kunal made it 2-0 in the 18th minute with a penalty after he was brought down in the penalty area.
In the 25th minute, a cross from Kunal found Chetan Shirodkar, who managed to make it 3-0 before the break. On crossing ends, Anant Gad pulled one back for ABC Arambol in the 45th minute when he scored from a rebound shot which hit the woodwork.
Assonora United will meet Raia Sporting Club in the finals on August 7.
