MARGAO: Host Batora United enter the semifinal by defeating Camarxett SC 4-2 via the tie-breaker in the Batora United 9-a-side football tournament, at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Wednesday
Both teams played attacking soccer and got equal opportunity but Camarxett James missed the target in the 15th minute while Shown Dias of Batora United failed to tap the ball in open net before half time and both teams remained 0-0 at half time.
After resumption, both teams tried to take control and broke the deadlock but both teams failed and made way for penalty shoot out to decide the winner.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Batora United netted through Shawn Dias, Joao Paul, Johnny and Elton Dias while James Fernandes and Rohit found the back of the net for Camarxett FC.
Jose Paul Fernandes of Batora United was adjudged as Man of the match.
