MARGAO: Maina Sports Club defeated Santacruz Society of Poitomado 3-2 to enter the quarterfinals of the Dando Boys Club Benaulim inter-village football tournament, at Dando football ground, Benaulim, on Wednesday.
Leading by 3-0 at the breather, Maina Sports Club netted through a brilliant hat-trick by Milagres Fernandes who netted three goals in the third, 8th & 18th minutes of the first half. Anish Patel and Jollyton Fernandes scored a goal each in the 35th & 47th minutes of the second session for Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado.
