Chandor Club humbled Rumdamol Sporting Club 3-1 in the Salcete Zone GFA Third Division league at Chandor Church Ground on Sunday.
Chandor Club dominated the game but it was Rumdamol Sporting who rocked the rival citadel in the 15th minute when Abdul Shighani bulged the net. Unperturbed Chandor Club went into attacking mode and moved into the rival citadel.
In the injury time (45+3 minutes) when Shawn Pereira cancelled the lead. Crossing over Chandor Club intensified their attacks and in the 67th minute when Laxmiman Gaonkar regained the lead 10 minutes before the long whistle Marfo Mascarenhas put the issue beyond doubt.
Dicarpale beat SC Davorlim 3-0
Dicarpale Sports Club thrashed Sporting Club of Davorlim 3-0 in the Salcete Zone GFA Third Division League at Dramapur Ground on Sunday.
Dicarpale Sports Club led 2-0 at the breather. Dicarpale had the upper hand in both halves. Kevin Furtado put his team in front in the 16th minute. Spurred by the success of Dicarpale they mounted pressure and Cidroy Furtado scored the insurance goal in the 31st minute.
After resumption, Dicarpale Sports Club upped the ante but could not add more goals. In the 58th, Rio Colaco was ejected by the referee after he received a second yellow card. In the 88th minute, Kevin Furtado struck the second time to register his brace.
