Dempo Challengers, one of the six teams competing in the Panjim Gymkhana Members League (PGML) 2.0, on Wednesday unveiled their official jersey for the upcoming second season of the T20 tournament.

The official jersey was unveiled at a function at Dempo House which was attended by Shrinivas V Dempo, Chairman, Dempo Group of Companies and owner of Dempo Challengers, Sidharth Shirodkar, senior vice-president and Head - Goa region, ASK Private Wealth, Vijay Khemka of Avinox Consultants LLP, Manoj Caculo, President of Panjim Gymkhana, Rajesh Khaunte, Secretary, Panjim Gymkhana, Umesh Balani, Zonal Head, Private Banking at ICICI Bank for Mumbai, Pune and Goa. The Dempo Challengers coach and the squad were present at the function.

“It is a matter of pride that the Dempo Challengers will be participating in the second consecutive season of the PGML. The official jersey of the Dempo Challengers reflects the spirit of competitiveness and harmony,” Dempo said on the occasion.

Caculo said the second edition of the Panjim Gymkhana Members League would be a bigger and better event as compared to its first edition, which had attracted a lot of traction. “Last year, we had a fabulous PGML. After last year’s success, we thought we should take it to a different level, a level that no one has ever seen in Goa before. The PGML 2.0 is going to be a grand, great league and a carnival of cricket,” Caculo said.

The first edition of the T-20 league was won by the Prescon Panthers. The league kicks off on January 7 with a face-off between Manas Mavericks and Priority Titans at 9.30. Dempo Challengers face Baale Tigers at 2 pm in the day's second match. The PGML 2.0 will feature 19 matches, including the final game, which has been scheduled for February 5.
