In an action-packed day of football in the Dream Sports Championship, Dempo SC delivered a commanding performance with a 12-0 victory over Sporting Clube de Goa at the Field of Dreams, Guirim, near Mapusa on Monday.
Faris led the scoring with a hat-trick and earned Player of the Match honours. Vishal, Yug Ramdas, and Jodrick each contributed braces, while Jonathan and Vivan added one goal each. The playmaking duo of Tanuj and Shreyash controlled the game with three assists each.
In the second match of the U-17 Football Tournament’s Goa regional round, FC Goa secured a solid 3-0 win against Guardian Angel SC. Josley opened the scoring with an assist from Sangam, followed by goals from Meldon and Asher, the latter assisted by Leonard. Joy was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
