Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao defeated Goa Medical College & Hospital, Bambolim by 78 runns in the Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Men Championship 2023-24, at Goa University cricket ground, Taleigao.
The toss was won by Goa Medical College who elected to bowl. Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College posted 218/5 in 20 overs. Yash Gadekar 78(46) and Aryan Narvekar 76(36) not out were the acrhitects of the innings. Arsh Sardessai (2/33) and Mandar Ghadi (2/26) were economical with their bowling.
In reply, Goa Medical College & Hospital, Bambolim were restricted to 140/6 in 20 overs. Arsh Sardessai 44(22) and Adarsh Naik 44(35) were the top scorers for Medical College. Aryan Narvekar (1/31) and Fardeen Khan (1/23) were the stand out bowlers for DMC.
In the second match, S S Dempo College of Commerce & Economics won by 24 runs against Fr Agnel College, Pillar.
The toss was won by Fr. Agnel College, Pillar who elected to bowl first. S S Dempo College posted a total of 160/7 in 20 overs. Aryan Mashelkar 44(39) and Mihir Gawde 29(20) contributed with the bat. Praful Gadge (2/15) and Karan Talwar (2/24) were the pick of bowlers for Fr Agnel.
