Dramapur Sports Club prevailed over Guardian Angel Sports Club 5-4 via tie-breaker to cruise into the quarter final of the 25th All Goa Our Lady of Merces 8-a-side inter village football tournament, organised by Sirlim Sports Club, at Chinchinim Church ground. The game started with both teams aggressively attacking each other. In the eighth minute, Guardian Angel's Godwin D'Costa bulged the nets with a power-packed right footer. Chadel Fernandes missed an open tap-in for Dramapur SC. Guardian Angel doubled the lead in the 21st minute through Gleason Fernandes off a cross by Godwin D'Costa. Franky Oliveira missed the penalty in the 29th minute for Dramapur SC. By halftime, the score stood 2-0 in favour of Gurdian Angel SC.
In the second half, Dramapur SC launched an aggressive attack from the start. However,Chadel Fernandes missed a sitter in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, a corner was awarded to Dramapur which was headed home by Shenoy Oliveira. Dramapur SC efforts bore fruit in the 52nd minute with Nigel Fernandes getting past 3 defenders and placing the ball in the net. The final score was 2-2 at end of regular time.
In the penalty shoot-out, Dramapur scored through Franky, Steflon and Senoy while Ryan Menezes and Godwin scored for Guardian Angel SC.
