Fr Agnelo YSC progress into next round

Fr Agnelo Youth Sports Club, Paroda got the better of Arlem Youth Association 5-3 in the 47th Chandor Seamen Rolling Trophy Football Tournament organised by Chandor Club at Chandor Ground on Saturday. Both teams were locked one goal apiece at full-time. Daniel Gomes opened the account for Arlem Youth Association in the ninth minute to put them ahead only to be nullified by Xlyn Oliveira of Fr Agnelo YSC, Paroda, in the fifteenth minute. In the tiebreaker that followed, Paroda proved to be better shooters scoring all four goals, through Kanchan Kiro, Cyril Dias, Joel Furtado and Drenzil Vaz. For Arlem Youth, only Velito Cruz and Jouston Barbosa were on target. Fr Agnelo goalkeeper, Ravil Fernandes, who was eventually awarded as the man of the match, stopped two of the penalties. The next match of the tournament is on September 10 where Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda play Chandor Club in the quarterfinals.
