Goa defeated Haryana by 22 runs in the final to clinch gold in the 28th Sub-Junior National tennis ball cricket championship held at Dondaicha, Dhule, recently.
Goa won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 71 for 7 in the allotted 8 overs.
Saiesh Naik was the top scorer of the innings with 23 runs. Saroj Thakur (20) and Viraj Tari (13) were the other scorers who contributed to the total.
In reply, Haryana were restricted to 49 for 7 in 8 overs. Tushar Naik scalped four wickets while Saiesh Kerkar and Saroj Thakur picked up a wicket each.
Saiesh Naik was adjudged as the best player of the final while Tushar Naik was named champion of the championship.
