PANAJI: Goa advanced to the semifinals after a tense penalty shootout against RSB Patna following a 1-1 draw in regular time in the The All India Civil Service Football Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs.
Patna took the lead in the first half through Naro Hari Shrestha, but Nellister Silviera equalized for Goa in the second half. In the shootout, Devraj Tari emerged as the hero, saving three crucial shots to secure the win.
At Santa Cruz football ground, RSB Mumbai defeated RSB Ahmedabad 4-3. Sanket Saloke scored a hat-trick for Mumbai, with Ashish adding another goal, while Sayed Pasha netted twice and Akshay Mall once for Ahmedabad.
RSB Cochin overcame RSB Chennai 3-0, with Sourav TP scoring twice and Bujair P adding the third goal.
At Bambolim, Central Secretariat Delhi thrashed Uttarakhand 5-0. Mahip Adhikari scored twice, while Rupesh Kaushal, Gaurav Chadha, and Nitesh Sharma contributed one goal each.
