Government College of Commerce & Economics, Borda, Margao, secured a commanding 6-0 victory over the Goa College of Hospitality and Culinary Education, Cidade-de-Goa, Vainguinim Beach in the inter-collegiate football championship organsied by Goa University. The first half saw GC Borda dominate, with Ozzie Dias scoring two goals in the 8th and 21st minutes, while Shabaz Shaikh added another in the ninth minute. The second half continued the trend, with Shaikh netting again in the 50th minute, followed by goals from Suraj Nagekar in the 57th minute and Santosh Vishwakarma in the 67th minute.
In the second match, Goa College of Art, Altinho, also displayed complete dominance, defeating Goa College of Agriculture, Old Goa, with a final score of 6-0. The first half began with quick goals from Ayush Phadte in the 6th minute and Preslez in the 14th minute. The second half saw further contributions, with Sagar Gauns scoring in the 35th minute, Ayush Phadte netting another in the 40th minute, Harshad Gavdi adding to the tally in the 42nd minute, and Suraj Chaudhary finishing it off in the 52nd minute.
In the third match at the Goa University ground, the Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sanquelim, received a walkover victory against B.S.P's Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya & Research Centre, Shiroda.
The fourth match, also held at Goa University, featured Fr. Agnel College of Arts & Commerce, Pilar, triumphing over V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, with a score of 4-0. Fr. Agnel secured an early lead with a goal from Sachin Mardolkar in the 15th minute. The second half showcased their dominance, with goals from Mohit Santondekar in the 51st minute, Shubert Borges in the 54th minute, and Diptesh Khandeparkar in the 58th minute.
At Parvatibai Chowgule College, Margao, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Margao, defeated Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna, with a score of 4-0. DBC Engineering displayed strong performance in the first half, scoring all four goals through Sohan Kavlekar (3rd minute), Teran Fernandes (14th and 31st minutes), and Shreyash P. (24th minute). The second half remained scoreless as both teams focused on defense.
In the second match at Parvatibai Chowgule College, M.E.S Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar, triumphed over Don Bosco College, Panjim, in a thrilling penalty shootout, concluding with a score of 4-3 after a 4-4 draw at full time. Don Bosco showcased their strength in the first half, scoring three goals from Zidane Fernandes (6th minute), Vittal Kharat (17th minute), and Ajay Raj (28th minute). However, M.E.S College rallied in the second half, netting four goals through Jaldish Chawan (46th and 61st minutes), Pradeep Bind (56th minute), and Edson Souza (70th minute). In the penalty shootout, M.E.S successfully converted four penalties, while Don Bosco managed three.
