Guardian Angel Sports Club Curchorem advanced to the finals of the 32nd Curtorim Panchayat Cup, organized by Curtorim Gymkhana, with a 3-1 victory over Maina Sports Club on Tuesday.
Maina SC initially took the lead when Freddy Hilario skillfully chipped the ball over the Guardian Angel goalkeeper. However, their joy was short-lived as Jason Dias quickly equalized for Guardian Angel, making it 1-1. Jason then put his team ahead, placing the ball perfectly into the left bottom corner of the net for a 2-1 lead.
Maina’s goalkeeper, Prakash Joshi, made several impressive saves to thwart Guardian Angel’s attacks. Nevertheless, Jason Dias completed his hat trick, sealing the match at 3-1.
For his outstanding performance, Jason Dias was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Chief Guest Coleman Rodrigues and Special Guest Shane Rebello.
