MARGAO: Guirdolim Club registered a solitary goal win over United Club of Seraulim to enter into the quarterfinals of the Cana Benaulim Super soccer inter-village football tournament, organised by Cana Benaulim Sporting Association, at St. John Baptista football ground, Benaulim on Saturday.

Vitorno Fernandes scored the all important goal for Guirdolim SC in the first half.

MARGAO: Vasco Veterans secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Goa Police to move ahead in the Pogo Boys Cup 6.0 football tournament, at Merces church ground, on Saturday.The first goal came in the first half when Nelson capitalised on a throw-in from Rocky to put Vasco ahead.Derrick doubled the lead with his first touch from a low cross in the second half.
