Goa's promising stars Sachi Dessai, Inara D' Souza, Ishita Colaso, Aarna Lotlikar, Pradnya Caro, and Neeza Kamat have secured their places in the finals in girls categories in an exciting display of young talent at the Ulhas Jewellers - BPS Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2024, held at the multipurpose stadium in Fatorda.
The tournament showcased an impressive lineup of girls matches, where these young talents demonstrated exceptional skills and determination. Notable performances were also observed from Vaishnavi Singh, Archi Katkar, Roma Ghantker, Juriel Gomes, Tisha Fatim, and Siddhi Tuenkar, indicating a bright future for Goa's table tennis scene.
In the U11 Girls semis, Sachi Dessai dominated with a 3-0 victory over Sheniz Xavier, while Inara D' Souza clinched a close 3-2 win against Anaya Shukla. The U13 Girls Semis saw Ishita Colaso and Aarna Lotlikar advance with strong performances over Samaira Verlekar and Gianna George. Similarly, in the U15 Girls category, Pradnya Caro and Neeza Kamat emerged victorious in the semifinals over Sanisha Sinha and Ishita Colaso, setting the stage for an exciting final showdown. The tournament continues to be a platform for young talents to shine and gain recognition in the sport.
