Joe Cookies Veterans Loutolim registered a 2-1 victory over Goa police Veterans to book their place in the semifinals of the Batora United Veterans football tournament played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim on Wednesday.
Joe Cookies Veterans scored the first goal through Seby Vaz in the first half in the 30th minute. In the second half, Goa Police Veterans equalised in the 70th minute through Vinod. Seby Vaz of Joe Cookies scored the winner, 2-1.
SJD Areal drub Rossman Cruz 4-1
Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club beat Rossman Cruz Nagoa Verna 4-1 via tiebreaker and moved into the final of the 18th Uguem Rising Club Football Cup 2022 at Ugem ground, on Wednesday.
In the tiebreaker, Sao Jose de Areal netted through Bersal Vegas, Liston D'Costa, Milton Gomendes and Clifford while only Human Gulad scored for Rossman Cruz Nagoa. Sao Jose de Areal will meet Fr Agnel YC Paroda in the final on November 13 on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Piety.
