Kulmaya Sports Club, Sarvan-Bicholim, defeated KK Boys, Santa Cruz, 25-23, 29-27, 25-17 to emerge champions at the fifth All Goa Inter-Village volleyball tournament, organised by MB United Sports and Cultural Club in memory of founder-member Naresh Dessai at MB volleyball court, Adiband Murida, Cuncolim.
Ashwek Gawade was the star for the winning side, while Clint Luis excelled for KK Boys. The winners were richer by Rs 60,000 and the runners-up pocketed Rs 40,000.
Individual prizes: Player of the tournament - Ashwek Gawade (Kulmaya), best smasher of the tournament - Clint Luis (KK Boys), best setter - Jameer Jalmi (KK Boys), best disciplined team - NS Taleigao.
Cuncolim MLA and leader of opposition, Yuri Alemao, was the chief guest for the final.
