MARGAOMacazana Welfare Club made short work of Davorlim Sports Club 4-2 in the Salcete Zone GFA's Third Division at Chandor Church Ground on Monday. Macazana Welfare Club were leading 3-0 at halftime. Macazana dominated the game and pushed their opponents on the back foot for the major part of the game and did not wait for long when Afileo Fernandes punished the rival goalkeeper with a clinical finish. The early goal boosted the morale of Macazana players as they tormented the rival defence with sharp raids. Backdown Braganza scored in the 21st minute while Godwin Mascarenhas added his name to the scorer's list at the stroke of halftime. Macazana slackened their pace and allowed their opponents to manoeuvre inside their territory. Jovito Niasso pulled one back in the 67th minute for Davorlim Sports Club. The reducer helped Davorlim as they launched forays into the rival territory and in the 81st minute, Mack Borges reduced the margin. In the 85th minute, Len Fernandes rounded off the tally for the winners.
