MARGAO: Mandopa Sports Club secured a convincing 3-1 win over SCC Loutolim to book a spot in the semifinals of the Simon Barreto Memorial Inter-Village Football Tournament, organized by Maina Sports Club at DYSA Ground in Curtorim on Saturday.
The match ended in a goalless draw after regular time, with neither team able to break the deadlock.
In the ensuing penalty shootout, Mandopa triumphed with goals from Nash Pereira, Ronaldo Pereira, and Noah Luis, while SCC Loutolim's Ignatius D'Silva scored their only penalty.
SCC Loutolim's Veroy Fernandes was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
