MARGAO: Navelim SC delivered a commanding 3-0 performance by defeating Velsao Sports and Cultural Club 3-0 to secure a spot in the semifinals of the Ugem Rising Club Football Tournament held at Ugem ground, on Wednesday.
The match showcased Navelim’s dominance, with goals coming from three different players. Ronaldo Pereira opened the scoring in the 40th minute, skillfully finding the back of the net and setting the tone for the remainder of the match. Just ten minutes into the second half, Aifik Shaikh doubled the lead with a well-placed shot, putting Navelim firmly in control. Terence Miranda capped off the victory with a third goal in the 60th minute, sealing a comprehensive win.
Ronaldo Pereira’s outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award, presented by Fr. Pasqual Fernandes.
