Nerul Sports Club edged past Parish Youth Nuvem 2-1 to move into the quarterfinals of the 50th Custodio Memorial Inter-village Football Tournament played at Raia Panchayat Ground in Raia on Tuesday. Nerul SC took the lead through Anuj Kuttikar whose freekick hit the post and went into the net. They consolidated their lead through a self-goal netted by Myron whose back pass was misjudged by the goalkeeper of Nuvem and went into the goal. PY Nuvem reduced the margin through Alloyd Colaco.
