CRC Chinchinim routed Dicarpale Sports Club 7-2 to storm into the semifinals of the VJT Cup 2023 at Chinchinim Ground on Tuesday. Dicarpale took an early lead through Jordan Miranda in the eighth minute, but their joy was short-lived as Hayden Cardozo equalised for CRC Chinchinim two minutes later. Shario Gomes then put CRC Chinchinim ahead in the 14th minute, before Chadel Fernandes doubled their advantage in the 22nd minute. Shario Gomes scored his second goal of the match in the 25th minute, and Nigel Fernandes made it 5-1 for CRC Chinchinim in the 30th minute. The first half ended with a comfortable lead for CRC Chinchinim. The second half saw Dicarpale trying to stage a comeback, and they scored their second goal in the 36th minute. However, CRC Chinchinim were too strong for them, and Shario Gomes completed his hat-trick in the 39th minute. Piedade Rebello added the seventh goal for CRC Chinchinim in the 50th minute, sealing their spot in the semifinals.
