PG Goa University and Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi were crowned the women's and men's champions at the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Badminton Championships (2023-2024) held at SAG Indoor Stadium, Campal.
The women's team of PG Goa University defeated Goa Medical College 2-1 in the finals. Niharika Tiwari and Yashmin Sayed were the key players for the winning team. On the other hand, the men's title was won by the defending champions, Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi. They defeated GVM's GGPR College of Commerce and Economic, Ponda 3-2 in a closely contested match. Chetan Magdum and Soham Shet were the standout performers for the winning side.
The Best Player of the Championship title was awarded to Chetan Magdum of GVM's GGPR College and Yasmin Sayed of PG Goa University in the men's and women's categories respectively.
The winning team members included Yasmin Sayed, Sarvadhnya Patil, Yukta Naik, and Priyamvada Maurya from PG Goa University in the women's category. In the men's category, the winning Goa College of Engineering team comprised of Soham Shet, Dashrath Mangelkar, Samarth Kamat, Sai Kunkolienkar, Tejas Pillai, and Yash Palekar.
