Citizens of Vasco and across the state of Goa have been shocked by the deaths of two prominent doctors of the port town within the span of a couple of days. Dr Harivallabh Pai was a well-known pediatrician of Vasco. Doctor Pai, a senior pediatrician, was the ex-president of the Association of Private Nursing Homes, Goa, past president of Indian Pediatric Association (Goa) and past-president of the Indian Medical Association Goa state and IMA (Mormugao). He was a multifaceted and multi-talented personality. The good doctor will be remembered by the numerous parents whose children he treated. Within a couple of days Vascoites received with shock the death of another well-known doctor Dr Anand Kamat who was associated with the Vasco Clinic in the port town for several years. He was the founder and senior member of the Association of Private Nursing Homes (Goa). The service rendered by the two doctors to the people of Vasco and citizens across Goa in the field of health will be remembered forever. May their souls attain Sadgati.
