Parish Youth Nuvem registered a convincing 4“0 victory over St Anthony SC Colva to book their place in the quarter-finals of the 2nd Vauradeancho Ixtt Trophy, organised by Batora United Club Curtorim and Margao SC, at the DSYA Ground, Curtorim, on Saturday.
Parish Youth Nuvem opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Stanford Colaco’s effort took a deflection off Khabir Khan of St Anthony SC Colva and found the back of the net.
The lead was doubled in the 37th minute through Leroy Colaco, who finished neatly off a pass from Baptist Fernandes.
After the break, Parish Youth Nuvem continued their dominance. Johnston Rodrigues made it 3“0 in the 48th minute before Darwin Colaco sealed the emphatic win with the fourth goal in the 51st minute.
Marcus Peixoto, coach of Curtorim Gymkhana and former Goa squad footballer, was the chief guest, while Rosario Hilario, Sports Secretary of Curtorim Gymkhana, was the guest of honour.
The Man of the Match award was presented to Darwin Colaco of Parish Youth Nuvem.
