Raia Sporting moved to the semi-finals after defeating Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, 6-5 via the tie-breaker of 1st Antonio Rebello memorial, organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
Raia Sporting scored first goal through Saniro Pango in the 13th minute to make it 1-0. Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda scored the equaliser through Hanslem Furtado in the 16th minute after receiving pass from Cliff Barretto to make 1-1 in first half.
In the second half, both the created good moves but could not convert into goals. Raia goalkeeper Jake Medeira was brilliant under the bar and made some excellent saves.
In tie-breaker, Raia scored through Aldon Colaco, Roy Colaco, Leran Dias, Garrison Fernandes and Jake Medeira and Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda found the net through Roque Borges, Hanslem Furtado, Frazer Miranda and Ainsley Aruajo.
Jake Medeira of Raia Sporting was given the man of the match and Alfred Noronha was given best defender of the match in the hands of Joao Agustinho Fernandes ex-Salgoacar, Curtorim Gymkhana player and Antonio Almeida.
