Goa will take on Daman & Diu in their opening match of the zonal qualifiers of the 75th edition of the Santosh Trophy National Football Championship on November 24.
Goa have been clubbed with hosts Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli in Group A of the West Zone qualifiers to be played at MK Bhavnagar University, in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The five-time champions will face Dadra & Nagar Haveli in their second match on Nov 26 before clashing with Gujarat on Nov 28 in the final qualifying match.
Teams have been divided into groups across five zones “ North Zone, West Zone, South Zone, East Zone, and the North-East Zone. The sides that top their respective groups will progress to the Final Round of the tournament, which is set to take place in Kerala, later this year.
