In an exciting encounter between SCC Loutolim and Ave Maria A&W club, Loutolim emerged victorious with a 3-2 scoreline. Caleb Lourenco of Ave Maria A&W club scored the opening goal in the first minute of the game, but Maison Fernandes of SCC Loutolim equalised in the 14th minute. Prosen Mondal of Ave Maria A&W club scored a goal in the 36th minute, Sujit Kerketta then scored for SCC Loutolim in the 60th minute, but Ave Maria A&W club kept fighting and came close to equalising. Maison Fernandes secured Loutolim's win with another goal in the 62nd minute, making it a brace for him. The game was filled with intense moments and saw some excellent performances from both teams.
St Cruz Club Cavelossim blank St Savio Calangute
MARGAO: Hosts Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim blanked St Savio Calangute SC 2-0 and moved into the quarterfinal of the Cavelossim Panchayat Rolling Trophy at Cavelossim ground on Thursday. In the 6th minute, a fine corner kick by Raju Cardozo and a Blayne Rodrigues back pass to Darren Estiberio who nicely placed the ball in the right corner of the goal beating St Savio keeper Philip Coutinho gave Cavelossim a 1-0 lead. In the second half, a cross from Cavelossim's Darren on the right flank was easily tapped into the empty net by Eletrin Viegas to stretch the lead to 2-0.
Davorlim Cup: Margao SC storm into semis
MARGAO: Margao Sports Club defeated Chandor SC 3-1 to enter into the semifinals of the Davorlim Cup Intervillage Football Tournament organised by Sporting Club of Davorlim at Davorlim ground on Thursday. Joaquim Carvalho gave Chandor SC the lead in the very 5th minute of the match. Later Clencio Pinto equalised for Margao in the 20th minute. Valito Miranda put Margao SC ahead in the 35th minute which was later extended by Clencio Pinto scoring his brace and Margao’s third goal.
