Goa comprehensively beat Bihar by nine wickets in their last 'D' Group fixture in the Senior Women's One-day Trophy at Amingaon Cricket Ground, Guwahati on Sunday.
Invited to bat, Bihar were shot out for 67 in 27 overs. They were reeling at 23-5 in the seventh over, with the sixth-wicket stand of Tejeshwi (22) and P Priya (10) in the lower middle order, doubling the total with a semblance of resistance. In the Goa attack, right-arm off-break Diksha Gawde was the pick of the bowlers with 3-12.
In reply, Goa lost an early wicket of Ibtisam Singh, who was cleaned up by right-arm medium, Rachna Singh without troubling the scorers. The other opener, Purvaja Verlekar (41, 43b, 6x4) and Tanaya Naik (20, 31b, 2x4) with an unseparated second-wicket 68-run association in as many deliveries cruised to the target in 13 overs.
