Seven Goan players have been selected in the Indian team squad for the first Asian Dueball Championship to be held at BPCA College Ground in Wadala, Mumbai, from December 11“14.

The selections of the teams were held recently, wherein the top 30 players from the country were called up for a camp and the squad was trimmed to 15 players. The seven Goan players who made the final cut are Vaman Gaude (Keri-Ponda), Baburaj Naik (Volvoi), Ulpat Shet (Volvoi), Mozam Khan (Valpoi), Devta Naik (Savoi Verem), Rakshanda Naik (Volvoi), Alpita Khedekar (Savoi Verem).

13th SKF Goa River Marathon: Ratnagiri’s Nilesh, Mumbai’s Urmila win full race

PANAJIRatnagiri’s Nilesh Kulaye won the prestigious men’s full marathon race (42kms) at the 13th SKF Goa river marathon clocking an impressive 2:49:33 hours, while Urmila Bani of Mumbai won the women’s full marathon in 4:15:25 hours.In the newly introduced 20 miler race (32kms), USA’s Marissa Murphy won in the women’s category with an impressive timing of 2:44:19 hrs, while Udupi’s Sachin Poojary won the men’s category in 1:57:51 hrs.Ratnagiri was once again among the medals…
