Sinaibag SC advanced to the next round of the 5th Cumborda Sports Club Football Tournament with a convincing 3-0 win over Rumba United at the St. Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Thursday.
Rumba United nearly opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Anthony's long-range effort narrowly sailed over the crossbar. Shortly after, Sinaibag’s Shannon unleashed a powerful shot, but it was brilliantly denied by the Rumba goalkeeper.
After a goalless first half, Sinaibag SC broke the deadlock in the 30th minute as Razzor found the net with a powerful strike. Despite Rumba’s efforts to draw level, Sinaibag’s defense held firm, frustrating their opponents.
Shubert then sealed the result for Sinaibag SC with a well-taken brace, extending the lead and putting the match beyond Rumba’s reach at 3-0 by the final whistle.
Interestingly, the Man of the Match award was presented to Anthony Gomes of Rumba United, in recognition of his standout individual performance despite his team's defeat.
