St Thomas High School, Cansaulim got the better of Navy Children School 3-2 to emerge as champions of Mormugao Taluka U-17 boys football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at DSYA ground, Velsao.
In the 1st half, Rio Rodrigues dribbled past defenders and placed the ball in the goal to secure the lead for St Thomas in the 14th minute. Preston Colaco doubled the lead by tapping the ball home in the 25th minute.
In the second half, Masaia D'Mello made it 3-0 for his side in the 45th minute. Jahan Bonsle scored a goal for Navy Children School in the 53rd minute and Arjan Singh scored to make it 2-3 in the 68th minute.
