St Joseph Vaz HS, Sancoale edged past Navy Children School 4-2 via tiebreaker to clinch the U-17 girls football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at DSYA ground, Velsao.

In the 1st half, the teams were unable to score a goal. In the second half, the match was tied 1-1 in regulation time. In the tiebreaker, Anjali Bajantri, Drishti Medar and Kirti Naik scored for St Joseph Vaz, while only Angelina scored for Navy Children School.

MARGAOCuncolim Union made short work of St Rock YC Majorda 4-2 to enter the quarterfinals of the Fatima Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Dicarpale SC at Dicarpale ground on Monday. Cuncolim Union's Daulat Dessai was the star of the match. In the 20th minute, Daulat netted the first goal after dribbling past Majorda defenders.
