United Club of Seraulim defeated Carmona SC 1-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the Fr Gervasio Pinto football tournament organised by Guardian Angel SC and played at Figueredo ground, Pontemol Curchorem on Monday.
Yuri of Carmona took a powerful long-ranger but failed to find the Seraulim net in the 6th minute. Three minutes later, Benson Fernandes of Seraulim shot from close range but the Carmona goalkeeper was equal to the task. Then Benson didn't make any mistake after dribbling past a couple of Carmona defenders and took a powerful shot which crashed into Carmona net in the 25th minute.
The Man-of-the-match award was presented to Zeben Dias of United Club of Seraulim at the hands of Vikram Mane, coach of JIRS Football Academy, Bengaluru.
