PANJI: Ucassaim Sports Club cruised to a convincing 4-1 victory over Sodiem Siolim SCA in the GFA Third Division League at Moira Ground on Saturday. Sanchet Gawade and Salu Santos were the standout performers, each scoring twice to seal the win for Ucassaim.
The match saw Ucassaim assert their dominance from the start, controlling the midfield and creating a flurry of chances. Their breakthrough came in the 27th minute when Gawade finished off a precise pass from Santos. Just six minutes later, Santos showcased his attacking prowess, dribbling through the Siolim defense and scoring from close range.
Before halftime, Gawade netted his second of the match, tapping in after a slick combination with Santos. Despite a spirited response from Siolim, who pulled one back through Swayam Kerkar’s low shot, Ucassaim quickly reasserted their lead. Santos capitalized on a defensive lapse to score his second, sealing a 4-1 triumph.
In a closely contested match at Duler Stadium, Assonora United FC edged out Sirsaim SWC 1-0, with Laxman M scoring the decisive goal in the 70th minute to secure the win.
