Danilo Arminho Gomes, a student at Divine Heart School in Chandor, has achieved a remarkable feat by winning five medals ” one gold, three silver, and one bronze ” at the All India Level Gymnastics Tournament.
The event held in Hyderabad featured gymnasts from 36 States and union territories and 33 teams participated in the competition.
At just 6 years old, Danilo has already made a significant impact on the gymnastics scene. Reflecting on his achievements, Danilo said, “I feel extremely happy having won the five medals. We did not face any difficulty at all as the organizers took care of everything, and it was a memorable experience performing at this great venue.”
He acknowledged areas for improvement and expressed his eagerness to continue developing his skills and winning more medals in future events. Danilo also extended his gratitude to his coaches and parents for their unwavering support.
Sheetal Dhere, Director of the Gymnastics Training Centre in Margao, praised the young athlete for his perseverance. “Our young gymnasts braved all odds with their grit and tenacity,” Dhere said, highlighting the performances in floor exercises, balancing beam, uneven bars, and vaulting table.
